In talking about his life mission His Holiness Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal, one of the most illustrious Peetadhipathis of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, said that his priority was to preserve, protect and promote the Vedas. Several Vedic Pundits and scholars in the country today are engaged in this mission. Almost all of them studied the vedas in one of the many patashalas either started or supported by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. Through Veda Rakshana Nidhi Trust, the Mahaswami ensured that the rigor and high standards in teaching and learning the vedas were maintained. In many cases the students were honored and given their final certificates in His benign presence. Thus was his commitment to this mission.
He also realized the compulsions of modern society and increasing numbers of people would move to vocational education to improve employability. He therefore suggested that those who are meant to learn the Vedas may at least help in preserving, protecting and promoting the Vedas.
Sri Kanchi Mahaswami Vidya Mandir is a creation to fulfill his dreams. Here is an institution that is seeking to preserve, protect and promote the Vedas in the 21st century, by offering a unique education system. This can only be done through your munificent support financially and in as many other ways as possible.
To support and encourage a child learning the sacred Vedas, you also have a simple yet effective option: making online contributions for nurturing Veda Vidhyarthi’s.
